Necla Cushion Black Orange & Blue 40x40cm

A square cushion cut from a reclaimed vintage Turkish rug brings dense colour and pattern to a sofa, chair or bed without needing a full textile overhaul.

The Necla cushion measures 40cm by 40cm and is made from authentic vintage Turkish rug fabric, so the weave, pile and motifs are those of the original piece. This cover shows a black field with interlocking diamond lattice in orange and red, a band of small star motifs on olive and burgundy stripes, and a broad orange register of geometric knots in pink, black and mustard. Blue, purple and green stripes run through the lower bands. Each Necla is one of a kind because it is cut from a different section of rug.

The surface has the firm, slightly textured hand of traditional kilim-style weaving, suited to everyday seating rather than a purely decorative throw. Padding is included with the cushion. It sits well against plain linen, pale wood or a neutral upholstery where the black ground and warm accents can read clearly.
